Just Checking In

A minister passing through his church in the middle of the day, Decided to pause by the altar and see who had come to pray.

Just then the back door opened, a man came down the aisle, The minister frowned as he saw the man hadn't shaved in a while.

His shirt was kind a shabby and his coat was worn and frayed. The man knelt, he bowed his head, Then rose and walked away.

In the days that followed, each noon time came this chap, each time he knelt just for a moment, A lunch pail in his lap.

Well, the minister's suspicions grew, with robbery a main fear, He decided to stop the man and ask him,

"What are you doing here?"

The old man said, he worked down the road.

Lunch was half an hour.

Lunchtime was his prayer time, For finding strength and power.

"I stay only moments, see, because the factory is so far away;

as I kneel here talking to the Lord,

This is kind a what I say:

"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN,
SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP
AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN.
DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY,
BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.

SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM CHECKING IN TODAY."

The minister feeling foolish, told Jim, that was fine.

He told the man he was welcome to come and pray just anytime.

Time to go, Jim smiled, said "Thanks."

He hurried to the door.

The minister knelt at the altar, he'd never done it before.

His cold heart melted, warmed with love, and met with Jesus there.

As the tears flowed, in his heart, he repeated old Jim's prayer:

"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN,
SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP
AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN.
I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT
I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.

SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY."


Past noon one day, the minister noticed that old Jim hadn't come. As more days passed without Jim, he began to worry some.

At the factory, he asked about him, learning he was ill. The hospital staff was worried, but he'd given them a thrill.

The week that Jim was with them brought changes in the ward.

His smiles, a joy contagious. Changed people, were his reward.

The head nurse couldn't understand why Jim was so glad when no flowers, calls or cards came, Not a visitor he had.

The minister stayed by his bed, He voiced the nurse's concern:

No friends came to show they cared.

He had nowhere to turn.

Looking surprised, old Jim spoke up and with a winsome smile;

"the nurse is wrong, she couldn't know that in here all the while everyday at noon He's here, a dear friend of mine, you see,

He sits right down, takes my hand, leans over and says to me:

"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM,
HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN,
SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP,
AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN.
ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY,
I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY,

AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS CHECKING IN TODAY."

Many people will walk in and out of your life but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

May God hold you in the palm of His hand and Angels watch over you.

But for those of us who are already His, He not only holds us in the palm of His hand, but has engraved our names there, and we are continually in His sight (Isaiah 49:16)


If you aren't ashamed.

Jesus said, " If you are ashamed of me," I will be ashamed of you before my Father."

Yes, I do love God. He is my source of existence and Savior.

He keeps me functioning each and everyday. Without Him, I will be nothing. Without him, I am nothing but with Him "I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me." Phil 4:13

Anyways, I'd like to share something about sa devotion kanina. It's found in James 1:22 and it says "Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves."

“Listening”, Eto ang madalas na ginagawa naten when we are in church. We’ve learned so many things by just going to church and listen, listen, listen. We used listen to the word that the pastor delivers us, we hear different testimonies that member shares and listening and singing praise and worships for the Lord. But is listening well enough?

Have you ever thought listening is more effective when you’re doing what you’ve heard? For example sa driving, we can’t learn to drive by just listening sa instructions ng nagtuturo saten. We will learn pag ginagawa na natin mismo ung tinuro nya. Ganun din sa pagba-bible study naten, Mas matututo ka if you’re doing what you have learned.

LISTENING + APPLYING IT = EFFECTIVE LEARNING

Sana po hindi na po basta tayo nakikinig nalang, sana po ipamuhay naten ung lahat ng ating napapakinggan sa church. We are Christians, and let’s show to others that we are real Christians, and not Christian-Kuno. Ü

Saturday Youth Worship

Hi again guys! kamusta na lahat? Last saturday, nagstart na ang isang activity ng CYF called 'Saturday Youth Worship'.

What: Saturday Youth Worship
When: Saturday @ 4pm
Where: UCCP - Baclaran

Saturday Youth Worship is a gathering of the pre-cyf'ers every saturday, mentoring kids the word of God in a fun and exciting way. Pre-Cyf'ers will have their small group and it will be considered as their cell group. Each cell groups will have their CYF leader and will follow-up them about topics discussed by the Speaker of the day.

Currently, we have 3 small groups with 7 members each. The first group is called "Cute Angels", second is "Jesus Angels" and the third is "Elijah". Kurt is the leader of Cute Angels, Totey for Jesus Angels and Alen for Elijah. Each group should have 12 pre-cyf'ers and then we will have to open another group if there's more kids coming every next saturday.

Sana mag-last tong gathering ng mga batang ito upang maraming maakay, lumago at mabless na youth sa church habang bata pa lamang. Sana hayaan ng mga parents ang kanilang mga anak na umatend every saturday.

General Assembly of LCSMC - CYF will be held in UCCP - Baclaran

Greetings to all!

I'd like to inform all the LCSMC - CYF'ers to please come to our General Assembly on Saturday, May 10, 2008 that will be held in UCCP - Baclaran from 8:00am - 3:00pm. We will be having an Election of the next set of LCSMC-CYF Executive Committee Officers (EXECOM) for this Ecclesiastical Year 2008-2010.

Two representatives per local church is required to attend, much better if the representatives are the CYF leaders in their church. There would be a registration fee worth P25.00 for our snacks and it's also required to bring your lunch with you too.

We had a great, successful event for the Lord!

Congratulations to all BEC CYF'ers coz we have a successful Christian Youth SummerSlam 2 for the Lord last sunday, April 27, 2008. I'm sure lahat ng nagpunta is really blessed sa different talents na ipinagkaloob naten kay Lord. Lahat ng pagod at sacrifices nyo ay nagkaroon ng bunga dahil nakagawa kayo ng isang Event na siguradong ikinatutuwa ng ating Panginoon!

Nakakatuwa man isip-isipin, pero hindi ko akalain na makakapagsayaw ulit ako! sa totoo lang po, high school pa yata ako huling sumayaw! pero ok lang un,, basta para kay Lord, I will dance for Him para papurihan at itaas ang pangalan Nya! Kahit asar talo ako kay Ons, ok lang! tinatawanan ako e! hehehe!

Tas sabi rin ni Pastor Bong, wag naraw ulit ako magsasayaw, magkeyboard nalang daw ako! hahaha! ok lang un Pas, para kay Lord naman un e! hehehe!

Nga pala, hindi rin makakapagsayaw ang mga CYF'ers kung hindi dahil kay Totey, salamat at binigyan ka ni Lord ng kakayahan upang mabuo ang steps ng dance number naten.

Maraming salamat din kay Magiliw Torres III (Gilly boy) sa kanyang pagaasikaso sa lahat ng mga bagay bagay sa event. salamat sa ipinakitang pagbebreakdance ni Jon-jon, sa mabangis na sayaw nila Jek-jek, Leng-leng, sa pagdrums ni Ryan, sa pagaasikaso ng mga FRESH (Nico, Kian, JB, Vinky, Lito) sa pagkain at sa Registrations, sa paglelead ni Alen ng P&W Team, sa pagaasikaso ni Ron-ron sa Button Pins pati narin sa paglelead sa Reg., sa lahat lahat ng utos na ginampanan ng logistics na si Patrick, pati narin kay Dunil at kay Marco na mga kaibigan nila Jek at Leng na tumulong sa pag-sesetup sa church, at shempre sa cute na cute na pagsasayaw nila Hanna, Jebie at EEM! Babangis nyong lahat! hahaha!

Shempre, I want to thank all of the CYF'ers from different UCCP churches na nakarating at nakisalo sa pagpupuri sa ating Diyos, sana makasama namin ulit kayo sa "Next Christian Youth SummerSlam". =) Lahat kayo ay naging part sa pagiging successful ng ating event. =)

Salamat din sa mga Pastor ng ibang church na nakasama namin, Sila Pastor Bong, Pastor Pekto, Pastor Remher, Pastor Minet, Youth Pastor Onski, at kung meron pa po akong pastor na hindi nabanggit, pashensha na po kung di ko po kayo nailagay dito. Kay Bro. Salane rin, Salamat bro sa pagsuporta! =)

At lubos din akong nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng bands na tumugtog at nagshare ng different talents para kay God. Salamat sa Sanctified by Blood (WIN-Baclaran) na nagperform ng Alternative Rock Genre, Gochen (UCCP - Makati, Pinagkaisahan) na nagpresent ng Mellow Genre, Breath of Life feat. Rocky (UCCP - Baclaran) na nagsayaw at kumanta ng isang Rap Hip-Hop Song para sa Urban Genre, PCC Praise & Worship Team and their Kids P&W (UCCP - Parañaque) na naghandog ng Pop Genre, and shempre ang Soldiers of Christ (UCCP - Sucat) na sya namang nagperform ng Reggae Genre.

Salamat din sa ating Chairman, Kuya Nap Caballero, na naghayag satin ng mabuting salita tungkol sa pagkakaroon ng bawat isa ng talents na nagmula sating Diyos.

Salamat din sa Church Council sa kanilang pagsuporta sa event ng mga CYF to be led by our Pastor Emmie Hernando. Sana po ay laging nanjan po kayo lagi para sumuporta sa mga Kabataan sa kanilang mga activities.

at shempre nagpapasamalat po kami sa lahat ng kababaihan (CWA) na tumulong saming magprepare at maghanda ng pamatid gutom. Maraming Salamat din kay Auntie Solita na siyang namuno sa pagluluto ng napakasarap ng Pancit Bihon.

Sana po talaga ay magkaroon ulit tayo ng event na katulad nito, at sana ay sa mas malaki pang lugar para naman maacomodate ang maraming Youth! Muli po,, maraming salamat sa lahat! =)

Lord, lahat lahat ng ito ay para lamang sa inyo, nawa po napasaya ka po namin sa event na un. Sana po i-bless mo po ang bawat isa. Salamat po.

Christian Youth Summer Slam '08: Different Talents, One GOD!

Hi guys! Its been a while since I last posted here in our blog. Well this time I promise to God to update this blog every week.

Anyways, I would like to invite all of the Youth out there to please come and join us in the part 2 of the Baclaran Evangelical Church's Christian Youth SummerSlam entitled: "Different Talents, one GOD!" on Sunday, April 27, 2008 @ 04:01pm in UCCP - Baclaran . This event will show us different talents that God had given to us, and let us know why God had given this talent to us.

We can see different Christian Youth talents like Dancing and Singing from different churches namely UCCP - Makati, UCCP - Sucat, UCCP - Parañaque, WIN - Baclaran and UCCP - Baclaran as they perform it to praise and glorify our Lord.

Our Guest speaker is the Chairman of UCCP - Baclaran Kuya Nap Caballero as he will discuss why God given us this talents.

We will also give all the visitors a button pins as their tickets and also considered as a souvenir of the event.

First of all I want to say Hi sa lahat ng nagbabasa ng blog... Sana ay nasa mapayapa kayong kalagayan
ngayon... :) Well this blog is all about the CYF ( Christian Youth Fellowship ) of Baclaran Evangelical Church..
Wala lang, naisip ko lang na maglagay nito para naman ma-ishare namen sa inyo ang lahat ng nangyayari sa buhay buhay
ng CYF at kung pano dumadaloy samen ang Spirit ni Master Lord Jesus Christ! Natutuwa ako dahil unti-unting tumitibay
at lumalakas ang pananampalataya namen kay Master Lord, at dahil dito, tumitibay rin ang samahan nameng CYF!
although sometimes may mga problems na dumadaan, heto at mighty bond parin kame! ( pera usog! :) ) Well, thats all
